Meet Lebanon
Lebanon will be making their Copa Lagos debut in 2012. They will also make history as the first team from the Middle East to take part in the tournament. Lebanon are an ermegring force in Beach Soccer.
Lebanon are famed for their passion and attacking approach to the game, recently Lebanon have experienced an up turn in fortunes and have begun to show the World that they are a force to reckoned with.
Earlier this year Lebanon surprised the Beach Soccer World by finishing 4th in the Asian games in June this year. They topped their qualifying group winning all 3 games in the process. The highlight of their qualification was the 8-3 victory over the UAE. An achievement made even more impressive by the fact that the UAE came third in the most recent Intercontinental Cup In Dubai, beating Nigeria in the process.
In Haitham Fattal, Lebanon have a geuine goal threat. The Lebanese striker finished the Asian games as top scorer with 11 goals despite his team coming in 4th.
